Hello hello

In this post, I wanted to discuss something slightly more personal,
not so much fashion, not so much music, just real life.

I recently had to part with my nanny of 5 years.
As I'm an only child, she definitely played the sister role in my life for a while.
And then I asked myself, what will I miss about her?
Just listening to my thoughts, I realized, it's just the simple things in life, really.
nothing materialistic, nothing selfish,

I genuinely just miss her.

for her considerate personality by greeting me with a warm bowl of my favorite home-cooked pasta after I've been gone for six months for University,
for helping me turn on the powerplug to charge my phone late at night because I'm always so absent minded
for always walking me down to grab a taxi.
for always picking me up when I come home late at night
for staying up with me because I'm afraid after watching a horror movie
for braiding my hair
for offering to help me apply my eyedrops because I can't do it myself
for always cooking chicken noodle soup for me when I'm sick
for having little conversations with my doggy whom she refers to as her little princess.
for her unconditional love for my dog
for reminding me to take my vitamin C drinks late at night
for her countless efforts in trying to wake up the sleeping giant = me
for laughing at my fear of geckos
for supporting me on bad days
for checking up on me
for basically memorizing my Mcdonalds breakfast order, extra hashbrowns ftw!
for loving me even at my worst
for chilling with me till late when my parents are overseas.
for always just being unconditionally kind.

She'll be returning home to reunite with her 2 children and I couldn't be more happy for her as I know it's definitely been too long
It was extremely difficult to part with her, the last 24 hours had to be the hardest as I stared at the clock but knew in my heart there was nothing I could change.
And the torturous overthinking of things like "this is the last 12am, this is the last 1 am, this is the last 2 am"
Wherever you are, no matter how busy you are, I would like you to pause for just a second and call up your loved ones.
I guess we never really realize how important these people are in our life until we're faced with the hour of seperation.
These seperations could appear out of no where, so don't take any moments for granted.
Appreciate the simple moments.

I wish her all the best in life, I'll miss her so much and will often think about her in everything I do.

I guess, all I want to tell you is that, if you've also been going through something like that, just keep your chin up and remember that everything happens for a reason.
I really hope that this post has helped you in some way
Whether it is helping you through a rocky period or really just appreciating the people around you for that matter.
Every song has its ending but that's no reason to not enjoy the music
So enjoy the notes while they last, savor each moment and have no regrets
Know that it's never the end, keep in contact,
Write too many letters, exchange photos, don't ever forget each other.

Hello hello

Before I begin this post, I just wanted to draw a final conclusion to the previous giveaway

I was just thinking to myself this afternoon how I haven't done a blog post in a while, [well.. at least a real one]

Seriously, there are some mad talent out there, these pictures really took my breath away.
I really appreciate the attention to detail and just small little things like a tilt of the camera angle.

There were a few variations of this picture and it was definitely difficult picking them out but as I reached the final page, this was immediately a clear favorite! I just love the angle of the picture. I think she made the clothes herself as well! how cool!

I thought this was such a cute picture and I just absolutely loved her caption, it gave me a good giggle.
